Meme!

Rules:
1. Next to each number, write only the name of the person who fits.
2. Answer one question with one name.
3. Don't tell the questions to anyone who isn't doing the meme.

And I'm not doing LJ tags because I'm too lazy so here we go! (oh, and I'm breaking rule number 1 because I can't do memes without commenting)

Meme )
Right, I know I haven't been on here in forever but I have a final tomorrow and one of Friday so I'm procrastinating. Miss you all!

So, random: I just saw a commercial for "Lysol deep reach" which reaches "deep" into the toilet bowl to clean and disinfect to kill all bacteria. What the fuck is the point of that? How are germs deep in the toilet going to come infect us? It's not like we're going to be eating out of the toilet and anything that is dropped into it is going to be immediately washed with soap for a good few minutes before we let it go anywhere outside of the bathroom. And the bacteria are going to go immediately back anyway after you use the toilet so how often would you have to clean? Who is going to buy it? Stupid people who care way too much about cleanliness and never actually think about how this is just another way for these companies to steal our money? *sigh*

Thoughts?

Other news: I have a midterm in philosophy and I have NO idea what's going on in that class. And half of it is going to be multiple choice. How does that work? Lord.

I am also addicted to those cat pictures with the captions in broken english. You know, the "I can has cheezburger" things. Wasting my life, I swear.

Edit:
I just got an aim from WhimsicalSalmon, I googled it and apparently it was some random person some bot connected me to. There's more info on the LJ community "the missing hat". Has this happened to any of you guys?
/Edit

Edit 2:
Forgot to check the results of the Ohio/Texas primaries and very disappointed that Clinton won both. I talked to Avi today and apparently if Clinton is the democratic candidate, he won't vote for her. I'm not sure I will either. Disappointing.

Life
So I couldn't sleep because I keep worrying about stuff so I decided to come on here and complain. Let's see. I just realized that one of the courses i want to take for next quarter might be full by the time i can sign up for it but I'm not sure if it really is such a bad thing because I also just realized that I would be taking one too many units and would have to petition to be able to take all four classes. I'm already struggling this quarter with my four classes because I don't go to two of them and I think I might get a C in one (which has never happened before in my life). It's just so hard juggling class and friends and a relationship right now and I am SO not motivated to go to class or try to do well in anything. Ugh. I also kind of wanted to get a job next quarter but I'm busy enough as it is (doing absolutely nothing of course).

I feel a little sick right now, sick as in nauseated, not ill. I think it might be that gross wine I drank earlier in a pointless attempt to catch up to my super wasted bf. He had some race thing called the urban iditerad today with some of his friends where you race for 2 miles pushing a shopping cart full of beer, stopping by 5 bars along the way. Needless to say he was too drunk to pick me up today so I had to take a cab (he didn't want me to take a bus because he was "worried") and then he was too drunk to do anything but watch tv, eat, and pass out. Lame. Oh well, it's life I guess. At least he had the decency to apologize for being so drunk the entire time.

This weekend I still need to catch up in reading for philosophy so I can study for the midterm and know what the hell is going on, start watching anthro lectures so I can try to get at least a C+ in the class (I haven't attended since the first class of the quarter), finish my application to the summer program in England I want to take because there are only 11, probably less, spots left, convince Avi not to make me go to archery tomorrow, and figure out what classes I want to take next quarter.

I am super excited about spring break though. Lauren and I are going to New York for a week. I will be back for a day or so, from friday 3/21 to sunday 3/23 if anyone wants to hang out for a couple of hours. Alright, time to go climb back in bed and attempt to fall asleep. Ugh.

So it's 2008, even though it doesn't feel like it. It's hard to believe that an entire year has gone by. Hopefully this year will be more exciting than the last at least, even though it's not looking too great since lately I've just been feeling sick/anti-social. Ah well. Let's do a meme to past the time, shall we?

Basically take the first line or so from the first entry of every month for 2007 and post it!

January

February
my lunch today:
- a bowl of instant mashed potatoes

So today I decided that I'm going to major in Psychology with a double minor in Classics and Theatre.

December

Hm... New Year's resolution: Post more. 2007 seemed to be boring *sigh*. God, my life needs to be more fun. Maybe I should start actually going out with people when they invite me instead of declining and staying home being lonely. And now I'm tired, time to go climb back into bed.

WARNING: POINTLESS RANT

So, LA is supposed to be a fashionable city right? Well, apparently not at UCLA. These past weeks I've seen some of the WORST outfits ever. My favorite? There was a guy wearing blue flannel pj pants, grey pj t-shirt, and black slippers outside of one of my buildings. But apparently he thought his ensemble needed more so he added on a pair of light grey basketball shorts over the pants. Lauren and I think he's a superhero. PJ Basketball shorts man.

Another thing I HATE seeing? Girls wearing gorgeous, silk/satin looking, jewel-toned tops over oversized light blue jeans. At least wear dark jeans people!!! Or save the top for a night out! Today I passed a girl wearing an amazing dark blue satiny top with black accents and acid washed jeans. UGH.

Also, the whole knee-length dress with black leggings? What's the point?? Are you REALLY that ashamed of your calves? Because all that unnecessary fabric just draws attention to your legs, honey.

Ok, I know I'm pretty obsessive about clothes most of the time (one day I came back from class and changed my jeans because I didn't think the wash went with the color of my top) and some days I have the whole "fuck looking good, t-shirt and jeans all the way" attitude, but I don't understand what these people are thinking. *Sigh*, I know you guys don't care but I just had to get this shit out of my system. What are some of your fashion pet peeves?

[edit] - I forgot this one last time: girls who wear leggings as pants. I see so many girls wearing normal length shirts that barely cover their butt and then leggings. They aren't meant to be worn alone, people!!! And then you get to see EVERYTHING, which is not pleasant.

Also, I hate it when girls wear tunics as dresses to parties. They're TOPS, kids. TOPS. If it barely covers your crotch, wear something under it.

So, I couldn't sleep and decided to check my textbooks for this quarter and guess what? I'm going to have to spend 500$ on textbooks this quarter!!! WTF? You know how much clothing I could buy with that? And so I'm trying to decide whether or not I should buy everything, especially since the profs might want us to get course readers too and that's just a lot of money and I might not read everything anyway. *sigh*, oh college.

Also, for those of you who watch SKINS, here's a video you should see: Secret Party. It's trippy. (And who is the boy with the blond hair? (not Chris)

Damn, I hate insomnia.

Right, so I stumbled upon this while browsing DA and thought that LJ would be the easiest and most efficient way of distributing it to the masses: DeathNote Comic

In other news, I'm exhausted but still up reading for some god forsaken reason. My left arm is also painfully sore and aches whenever I lift it or move my muscles in any way. I have no idea what's wrong with it but hope the throbbing abates soon or I'll never get to sleep, even if I can manage to tear myself away from my laptop and fanfiction entertainments. Oh, and read these too: Fashion SWAT on International Male clothing. They're hilariously witty and delightfully accurate. :). Right, back to my distractions...

ok, so I just saw this on sammy sam's journal and decided to post it too:

- Pick your birth month.
- Strike out anything that doesn't apply to you.
- Bold the five-ten that best apply to you.
- Copy to your own journal, with all twelve months under a lj-cut.

APRIL:
Active and dynamic. Decisive and hasty but tends to regret. Attractive and affectionate to oneself. Strong mentality. Loves attention. Diplomatic. Consoling, friendly and solves people's problems. Brave and fearless. Adventurous. Loving and caring. Suave and generous. Emotional. Aggressive. Hasty. Good memory. Moving. Motivates oneself and others. Sickness usually of the head and chest. Sexy in a way that only their lover can see.

So, I'm totally bored right now and I have a 5 page paper due in 4 hours. Which means I'm on facebook instead of course.

So I'll be back in H-town from 5:10 p.m Sunday to 3:55 p.m Wednesday. I expect fun times to ensue.

Man, this paper is killer... stupid transcendence, I don't care about you.

I also just got majorly screwed over on my housing. A6? last room down the hall? Fuck.

Last night me and the kids at a cast party sand Disney songs for 15 min. I was reminded of you, Keith :P

I just checked my mail yesterday and I got your postcard fishie! and your card keithers! thank you both! and keithers, that sticker is ridiculous. I love it.

on another note, this spring break I will br flying to Ft Worth, then Houston, then Ohio. I'll be in Houston from monday - wednesday because its cheaper than going from Ft Worth straight to Ohio for some strange reason. Anyway, people in H-town should totally hang with me.

Hey guys, so next weekend I'm participating in an event called Dance Marathon where I have to dance for 26 hours to raise money and awareness for pediatric AIDS. I need to raise $225 to be able to dance, and being me, I'm fundraising last minute. I would love it if you donated even a dollar to my site http://www.active.com/donate/ucladance/danceXChen . It would really help me out. Thanks!
